Sand Cake

Monday night we had Monday Night for the Master. For those of you who may not know what MNM is is an opportunity for us to get together to write cards of encouragement, sympathy, get well wishes, etc. Each month one person is in charge of bringing a dessert to share. This was my month so I brought Sand Cake. To be honest, I actually brought it twice. I got the dates confused and brought it a week early to the church. I ended up having to repeat the process the following Monday.

Sand Cake

1/4 c   butter
1   8 oz cream cheese
1 c  confectioner sugar
2 pkgs small vanilla instant pudding
3 1/2  c milk
12 oz   cool whip
vanilla cookies

Mix pudding and milk together. Add butter, cream cheese and confectioner sugar and mix. Fold in the cool whip. Finely crush the cookies. In a bucket, layer the cookies and then the pudding mixture. Repeat the process ending with the rest of the crushed cookies on top. Serve with a shovel.

This is a fun and yummy dessert!
