Maribeth's Wedding

A cousin of mine was married a couple of weekends ago. She asked my girls if they wanted to be a part of her day by passing out the sparklers. They were so thrilled and very quickly said yes! The colors of her wedding were purple. The girls informed me that they must wear a purple dress. Did you know as far as clothing for girls is concerned............purple is not the color this season? Of course, I had my expectation set way too high. I wanted to find coordinating outfits. I was barely lucky enough to find something within the purple color wheel! So after many weeks of searching(in 3 states I might add), we finally settled on grabbing the first modest purple dress we spotted.

The weekend started with the rehearsal at her parents house and  dinner at the Capital City Club to follow. The Capital City Club is located at the top of one of tallest buildings in Montgomery. It has wonderful views of the city.

The wedding was wonderful! The weather was perfect and my cousin was beautiful! She had the wedding outside up under shade trees. It was perfect!

The ring bearer(3) rode the flower girl(4 months) down the aisle on a motorized tractor. It was the cutest entrance I have seen in a long time!

Here is a picture of the dresses I explained about earlier.

Not the same shades of purple but the girls loved them!

My beautiful cousin!

The girls were so excited when the wedding coordinator told them it was time!

Congratulations Kyle and Maribeth!

My new little nephew!

I was so excited when I found out that my sister was going to have a baby. I was even more ecstatic when she had him a few weeks ago. It has been almost 5 years since we've had a baby in the family!  My girls have been really hoping I would have another one. Their daddy tells them, "He's working on it." I tell them to get over it! If I were to have another one, he/she would just make up the fourth corner in the ring of our kids boxing matches!  Maybe a new nephew will help. I love the fact that I can love, cuddle, snuggle and hand him right back over!

Introducing my nephew

Easton

We spent a few days loving on this sweetie. The last time there was a baby in the family my girls were 6 and 3. I did not have a whole lot of competition when it came to holding the baby. I now have to compete with an 11 year old baby hogger!

She held him every chance she could get. I took an evening shift just so I could get my hands on him......alone....without hearing "Mom, can I have him now!"

She will definitely make a great mother......way......way.....way into the future!

As we were taking pictures........

Easton let out one of those loud mustard squirting bombs.

These are the reactions I captured.

Who else could make such a nasty sound........and still be so sweet and lovable.

We did manage to break away and take Emma on a fun outing or 2.

Looking forward to holding him again in a few weeks!!!!

These are 7 years overdue!

It has been 7 years since we have had professional pictures taken of our family. Trying to get our family  together while everyone is in a workable good mood.......is just about impossible! My kids usually try to scatter once they see me pull my camera out! You don't believe me.......lets walk down memory lane just a moment and visit a failed attempt.

We were about to move from Florida and thought I would get a family photo on the beach one last time. Ella had fallen asleep in the car and woke up in a really bad mood. As you can see it did not go well.......AT ALL!  I will even blow it up so you can see how the hubs handled the situation.

I love pictures but sometimes it is very stressful!

When a friend of ours(who is a photographer) offered to take Griffin's senior pictures(which I shared in the previous post), I asked her to take a few of our family. She did such an amazing job! I am actually excited about sharing these!

She even took a couple of the girls.

Except for one little meltdown.............we had a great time while doing it!

Maybe there is hope for future pictures!

Does anybody know where to find the fountain of youth?

I can't believe my son has gone from .....

a boy.....to a....

man!

We are nearing the end of senior year!
If I allow myself to stop and think about what will happen in 6 short weeks, I don't think the tears would stop! It's a good thing I am keeping busy with preparations for a graduation banquet, graduation and a graduation party! I am so excited for my son to begin this new chapter in his life. I just wish the old chapter hadn't gone by so quickly! I can remember people telling me when he was younger......"He will be a senior before you know it!" and now IT'S ALMOST OVER

We spent yesterday getting him signed up for college. He has chosen to attend a local Christian college here. It's ironic how we both went to college together back in the late 90's(I was pregnant with him while getting my degree) and we will both be in college(different universities) at the same time again. I am going back to get my masters. After touring with him yesterday, I am seriously thinking about getting a room on campus. You know......a place to get away and study( wink....wink!!)

A really good friend of ours took the picture above and several others. She did a fantastic job and we were really pleased with the way they turned out!

I know I am his momma......... but I think he is one handsome man!!!!!
