Pre-season scrimmage

Well...... football season has officially started!
This will be my sons last year to play high school ball.......tissues please!

The season kicked off with a team scrimmage game.

The problem with a team scrimmage is its hard to find your player. We were able to finally point out Griffin by his distinct run.

As you can tell by the blankets, it was quite chilly that day!

The team had a practice game with MA last Thursday and won(forgot to get pictures).

We are looking forward to cheering on the Eagles in their first season game this Friday!

Your never too old to play with pink legos.

Ella received some legos at her early birthday party. She has never asked or been interested in legos until she saw the Lego Friends. When it came time to put them together, she went to the expert builder in the family.....her older brother.

Griffin used to spend hours playing with legos. He would build these massive structures and not want to take them apart. They would sit on display on his shelf for weeks!

I think a part of him still loves it!

I passed by one time and Ella had moved on to another birthday toy........but Griffin was still there building the.....little......pink....house.

My fashion girls

Laney is all about fashion these days. She loves to coordinate outfits along with accessories. A couple of weeks ago, she was given some money for her birthday. She knew exactly where to spend it! There is a shop near us called Charming Charlie. We have fallen in love with this place! It is a jewelry store that is sectioned off by colors. They do have some clothing, purses and shoes but it is mostly jewelry. The best part to me..... the prices are outstanding!

I thought I would share what my fashion girl put together.

Doesn't she look Fabulous?

Now my other child has her own sense of style( when momma doesn't dress her of course)!

We went to a consignment sale the other day and Ella found something that was right up her ally.

A pageant dress

Now to answer your first question........

No!!!!!!! We are not starting to do pageants!!!!!

I know there are a lot of people that do them but I am not a fan for my daughters.

#1 I can't/don't want to spend that kind of money.
#2 I think my girls are beautiful just the way God made them. They do not need a huge crown for me to know that!

Now that's one way to get her reading!

The other day the girls and I decided to go swimming at the pool on base. Once we arrived, we realized everyone else had the same idea. There were no empty chairs in sight! We grabbed a bench to lay our stuff on and started applying the sunscreen. No sooner had we finished lathering up good.......when the lifeguards blew the whistle. Normally this means it is time for adult swim but they were making everyone get out! Come to find out 2 poops had fallen out of a young child's pants and lay at the bottom of the pool. After a lifeguard dove down to remove the poop and the water was tested, he announced the pool would be closed for 2 hours. I've never seen so many people leave so quickly!

You may be wondering what we decided to do. Remember how I told you there were no chairs and we had just finished greasing up our skin. We finally had our pick of any chair we wanted. I told the girls 2 hours would pass quicker than we know it and we grabbed some chairs plus a table.

I checked my messages, took a nap and worked on my skin color.

Laney read her book. Yay for poop!!!!!!

Ella played in the........ rinse before you swim water.

After 2 hours, the water was cleared for swimming again.

Water had never felt so good!!!!!!

My little boy is a Senior this year!

I can't believe this little boy will be graduating from high school in less than a year!

First Day of Kindergarten

I know I have mentioned several times in the past how I want life to slow down.
This time I really mean it!

As I look back over the years, I am left wondering........

3 months old

1 year old

2 years old

3 years old

9 years old

14 years old

15 years old

16 years old
  where did the time go!!!!!!!

I am looking forward to this year but I want it to go by slowly!!!!

Here is Griffin's first day of his senior year.

Before school, we ate breakfast at Chickfila.

Now...the mama in me wanted to follow him to school, snap a few pictures and get a hug bye! Even though..... I know I  am a COOL(wink wink) mom.....Chickfila was as close as I was allowed to the school.

I settled for a few more pictures instead.

Now I better go ahead and end this post before I start crying........a lot!!!!!!!!

End of Summer Bash

We have been doing activities all summer long with friends from church. Last Thursday was our last event before school starts again. What better way to end the summer than with water. We had a big slip n slide, pools, water balloons and water guns.

It was a fun cool wet day!

Birthday party for 2 at High Falls Waterpark

I asked Laney what she wanted for her birthday. I got a list of 12 items and thought I would share the first 3.

1. iphone..........yeah right!

2. Go to West Monroe, Louisiana to meet Sadie Robertson. We could go to her house and say "hey".............I am having a vision into the future and it screams..... prison time for the Weeds!

3. Duck Dynasty cruise that set sails July 17(her birthday) of next year...............at $749/per person????........anyone want to adopt this high expectation chick?

She finally agreed on a party at a local water park.

Since the party included 25 swimmers, we decided to have a combined party for both girls. It would be their last big hooray with all their friends before we leave.

The next few pictures are really dark due to the party being in the evening.

Griffin took a few pictures while I was having fun!

Yes that is me coming down the water slide. I told you I was having fun!

After playing in the water, it was time to eat and open presents.

I kept the cupcakes simple by making the frosting blue for water and adding a beach ball(gumball), float(gummy ring) and an umbrella.

This party was a lot of fun because most of the parents were able to play too!
