What would you do if it was your birthday?

Laney's birthday was yesterday. Since she was not having a party, we asked her what she wanted to do on her day.

She immediately went to her room to make a schedule. This is what she came back with......

Wake up at 10:00( not intended for daddy)
Get ready at 11:00
Leave at 12:00 to go look for a bed for her room( This was for her birthday last year. Hi my name is mommy and I am a procrastinator.)
Eat lunch
Eat supper at Zaxby's
Get the new birthday milkshake( She thought this was created just for her since it came out close to her birthday.)
Get her bike
Rent a movie

Here is what actually took place.........

We woke up at 7:30 to the phone ringing. My dad loves to be the first to call for special events( Reminder: call dad at 12:01 am for his birthday!). Laney cooked us breakfast. We left at 11:00 to look for a bed. We ended up getting shoes, bookbag, water bottle and a shirt for school. Once Laney found out the birthday milkshake from Zaxby's was not created for her birthday, she chose Steak N Shake instead.

Maybe she chose it for the hat?

Maybe it was the car you get to put together?

She was definitely excited when she won this stuffed animal on the first try!

It was a fine anniversary dinner too.......

even with all the noise!

Next stop.....Toys R Us....then Target.....then back to Toys R Us for the bike.

Instead of a cake, she wanted to go to Menchie's for frozen yogurt.

We rented a movie and headed back home.

At the end of the night, we tucked her into bed, gave her a kiss and said goodnight. Then we were reminded of why we do not receive the Best Parents Award.

We never sang Happy Birthday!

So we ended her special day with a bedtime song.
In all kinds of crazy keys of course!
