Dr Seuss Celebration!

Yesterday was Dr. Seuss' birthday.  I dedicated the whole day for celebrating. I already mentioned in the previous post about our wacky adventures so here are a few of the other things we did.

Cat in the Hat came by and read Green Eggs and Ham to us.

We could not read this book without trying green eggs and ham for ourselves to see if we liked them like Sam I Am.

A majority of the class loved them! Ella was excited to tell me about her green eating adventures.

We made our own Cat in the Hats.

Next, We watched the movie Horton Hears a Who on the big screen in the auditorium.
The kids thought this was so cool!

After the movie, we had a few Horton activities to go along with the movie.

We made our own speck to take care of.

We played the game Horton Hears a Who!

Later in the day, our buddy class came to read us Dr. Seuss books.

Finally, what is a birthday celebration without a party and cupcakes. The kids were able to decorate their own cupcake.

Laney and her buddy.

We had so much fun remembering Dr Seuss and the great books he wrote.
