Here in the south it doesn't snow very often. The last time we saw snow was 4 years ago. You can read about our fun filled few days
here.
The weather forecast predicted snow by the afternoon. This worked out great for me because it was a great motivator for the girls to get school work done. They constantly checked outside and the weather channel. Finally, we saw a few flakes which sent us running outside.
It was bitter cold that day! My hands were freezing trying to take these pictures. Needless to say, we did not stay outside for too long. By the time the snow started to really stick, it was dark. We decided to stay warm inside and play the next day. Having hot chocolate and watching saved DVR Christmas movies made it feel like Christmas.
The next morning, the girls woke up really early to play outside. I was a little disappointed at the amount of snow we received. It barely covered the ground and wouldn't stick. This made snowball throwing and snowman building very difficult.
Thank goodness for vehicles that collect snow!
My van was covered in ice. Even if I wanted to go somewhere, I couldn't! My doors would not open!
The kids tried to attempt sledding but not enough snow = no snow sledding!
Notice I said snow sledding????
Check back later to see how southerners go sledding!
