Christmas Memory Monday

My friend Tara started a Christmas Memory Monday on her blog. So I thought I would join in today. Christmas is one of my most favorite times of the year and is my favorite holiday. What other holiday last a whole month( these day the day after Halloween). I love the memories, the time spent with family and the gift of giving. I love to come up with, copy or create gifts. Check back later to see what I have been making this year. What I would like to share with you is a gift I received last year that brings back so many memories. It is not necessarily the object as much as it is the people on it. One in particular is my grandmother( I was 2 when my grandfather passed away so I do not have very many memories of him). Out of all the wonderful things I got last year this was by far my favorite. My mom made this ornament using a picture of her parents. I have it front and center on my tree. Every time I walk past the tree I catch a glance of them and it makes me smile. I think of all the wonderful memories of the whole Parker family cramming in a small house eating, laughing, sharing stories, swapping gifts and out of town guest sleeping wherever we found a spot. Mine was either the floor or the coffee table. Now, if I could just get mom to make me one of my other grandparents, my parents, my husband, each one of my kids, my sisters and their family, oh yeah and Chewy, my aunts and uncles,my husbands family, etc........ hint, hint. Wouldn't it make a great Christmas Family tree filled with wonderful memories of wonderful people.

I was reading your other posts, too. We're doing a lot of Christmas Around the World activities at school, too. Also, I love your pics on the Smilebox post.

  3. Thank You! For some reason I have had a lot more to post about these days. I guess it has something to do with the holiday season.
