We are lucky to have several you pick places when it comes to summer fruit. I have already told you about our strawberries. Now we move onto.........blueberries!
We went yesterday to a local park that has tons of blueberry bushes. You can pick as many as you want for.....free! Yes, you heard right! Free! You all know how much I like that word!
So here is the amount we got yesterday.
That is a big bowl....not a cereal bowl!
The season has just begun. We are planning to go back several more times. This place must be a hidden treasure. Last year, they put an article in our local paper begging people to come pick. Hopefully, not everyone saw it!
I have several blueberry recipes pinned on pinterest. I will be testing out one recipe tonight for company and another for breakfast in the morning.
I will let you know how they turn out!

Did you go to Fort Valley? I'm needing to head there myself...the ones from last summer are just about gone. :)
ReplyDeleteYes. There were several that were ready but you had to find them. If you wait a couple of weeks, there would be tons ready and easier to pick.
