Teacher Appreciation Ideas

Many of you may not know Teacher Appreciation Week is this week. Since I am/was a teacher, I like to make the girls' teachers feel special. I want to share with you what the teachers  received all this week.

Monday

I forgot to take a picture but we gave them a candle with a note that said, "Thank you for lighting up my year!"

Tuesday

We gave them an ice cream dish with a layer of bath salts on the bottom and bath sponge on top to resemble an ice cream sundae. We added a straw which held a thank you card and a relaxation message.

Wednesday

We gave a cupcake candy dish filled with mints, smarties and Mounds along with a note that said, " You have "mint" so much to me this year! You have turned me into a "Smartie" and have made school "Mounds" of fun!"

Thursday

I found buckets from the Dollar Tree that were perfect for adding the teachers name using my Cricut. We filled each bucket with school supplies that were bought earlier in year for almost nothing or free from store sales. We added a note that said, "Thank you for supplying me with knowledge this year!"

Friday

Today we gave their teachers a coffee cup filled with coffee beans(this added a nice coffee aroma) along with a gift certificate to a local coffee shop.  We wrapped it up and tied a note that said,  "Thanks a "latte" for your hard work!"

We enjoyed putting these together and hopefully made the teachers feel special this week!

Here's a cheer for ya!

Give me an E!

Give me a L!

Give me a L!

Give me an A!

What's that spell?

What's that?

One more time!

In Ella's room, she has this long wall of nothing. I figured a canvas painting holding each letter in her name would take up space.

I bought  2 two packs of white canvas' and letters from hobby lobby when they were on sale. I painted  each one in a different style and hot glued the letters in the middle.

I love how they turned out!

**I will share a tip on how to make the canvas with the circles. Find a cap to something the same size you want your circles. I think I used a paint bottle cap for the small circles and paper cup for the bigger circles. Dip the ends of each into the paint and press onto the canvas like you would a stamp. It will leave you with this perfect circle. All you have to do is fill it in with more paint.

I love to party at my house!

Especially if houseparty.com supplies the goods!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE House Party!

I have hosted numerous parties from them and all have been a blast!

When I saw that they were looking for hosts for a Keirug party, I knew the request would fill up fast. So I quickly signed up hoping I would be selected. I was so giddy when the email came that I had been selected. The reason I was giddy was because of this......

they sent everyone a new Keurig Vue V500 Brewer and........

all the goodies to go with it!
(probably close to $300 in value)

I have been wanting a Keurig for quite some time. Who knew being patient would have its perks!

The day of the party I wanted to be familiar with the machine so I do believe I tried  4 of the 7 flavors. Needless to say I spoke a little fast that night!

If you know me then you know I can't just throw things out there and have a party. I like to make it presentable and special. Here is what my table scape looked like for the party.

I took the coffee cups they sent me and used them as a decoration. I added brown shred and a coffee stir stick.

I poured coffee beans in a glass dish along with a few Creme De Pirouline cookies.

I am in no way a straight up black coffee drinker. I think that is why it took me until a couple of years ago to truly enjoy coffee. I was never introduced to the delicious! decadent! yummy! goodness of creamer. I am not talking about the plain powder kind......(yes I am a teacher but I do not prefer chalk in my drink)! I prefer mine with flavor! I decided to make the "healthier" homemade version.

I made (for everyone to see how easy) a  French Vanilla Creamer and Peppermint Mocha Creamer.

We had a great time playing with the Keurig.

Each guest brought a dessert to go with our 4 cups of coffee
Yes..... we were bad!
We couldn't sample just one!

(A few of my guests are not in the picture.....sorry.....I realized I had not taken a group shot until later!)

I know you are probably adding up in your head right now the total number of cups I had in a day.

Well......before you reach for the calculator.......it was 7 cups altogether!

And....yes.....I paid for it later........

when I could not go to sleep until 2:00.....

and woke up every 30 minutes to pee!

My guest were happy when I gave them each a 40% off coupon to use to get there very own Keurig Vue!

A huge thank you to House Party and Keurig for making this the best party yet!

Go to houseparty.com and see if there is a party available that strikes your interest!
