Savannah's 1st Birthday

This past weekend we traveled to South Carolina to celebrate my niece turning 1. She is such a cutie and oh so sweet. I thought many times about sneaking  her into my suitcase and taking her home. Here are a few highlights from the weekend.

I remember when I was Laney's age and loved holding babies. My sisters and I used to sit and watch the clock anticipating our turn to hold our cousins. 

Laney was by Savannah's side just about the whole weekend.

We got her several outfits and this bow. She left it on for a full 2 seconds.

Her favorite part of opening presents was playing with the tissue paper.

She ate a bite or 2 and then........

Carmel Weed's 2 girls decided to help themselves to the rest of the Savannah's cake.

I am thinking maybe we should sign Laney up for softball again. She smacked the pinata twice and it broke open. 

Yes, that is my goofy husband sporting part of the pinata.

Later that day the kids got in the hot tub or should I say cold tub.

What a wonderful weekend with family!

Miss Spider's Tea Party

Yesterday, in my Storybook Chef class at CoOp we read Miss Spider's Tea Party. We made napkin rings, discussed manners, set the table and had a tea party. 

Just in case you are wondering, yes those are coffee filters. I forgot to get bowls and was not going back to the store. So I searched and found the next best thing.....filters. 

We are off to South Carolina to celebrate my niece turning 1.

Ella's First Game

Ella is my child that is so unpredictable. One minute she is a girly girl playing dress up and the next minute she is rough and tough and wrestling with Griffin. We decided to sign her up for ball because she seems to be our sports girl. She was so excited about her first game this past Saturday. We packed up her pink helmet, pink bat, pink glove and pink shoes and headed to the ball field for a match up between the Athletics and the Braves. Our goal for the day......make sure the kids run to the right base, no boo boos, NO tantrums and make sure the kids have fun.

Nothing like a little coaching from big brother.

I look over one time and this is what I see. So sweet! Griffin told me later Ella said her back was hurting from leaning over so much ( Griffin had her on the ground and ready for the ball the whole time. Tough big brother!). I guess holding his hand made it feel better.

Ella did great (just like her mother used too!) Hopefully, Ella will love it and want to play for many more years.

I love this sport!

Blaaaaaahahahahahaha!

I think God is trying to tell me that I need to sit down with my 2 girls and have a heart to heart discussion about female cycles. This makes for 2 in 1 week. 

Laney walks in the room holding the super T and says, " Mom, can I have this popsicle?"

Laney thinks there popsicles.

Ella thinks there poppers.She shoots them.

Chewy thinks there chew toys.

Carmel thinks there the enemy.

I say go buy your own!

Junie B Jones field trip

This past Tuesday we went to the Junie B Jones Musical at the Macon Opera House. It was such a cute play and was entertaining for all ages. My sister and niece were here this week so they joined us. I do not have any pictures of the play because it was forbidden. We took some outside in front of the spring flowers.

THAT WOULD BE JUST TO GROSS!

Ella and I were at the grocery store. I decided to stop off at the bathroom( it was mother natures monthly gift time). I let Ella go first and sent her out to wash her hands. I thought she was washing her hands until I heard her say, "Mom I see you and I see your diaper too!"

If you are a man and you just read that you can't say I did not warn you!

L2L 2010

When we lived in Fl, the church we attended went to L2L in Orlando. Now that we are back in Ga, we go to Atlanta. I like going to Atlanta because we get to see so many of our friends and family there. It is like a huge reunion for us. However, the downfall is it is very fast paced. When you have 3 kids who compete in several different events, you are constantly on the go. Here are a few highlights from our weekend.

Laney and Ella participated in bible reading. Ella recited Genesis 1:1 and Laney did John 3:16-20. This was Ella's first time doing this so she was a little shy. She would not go up there when it was her turn. After everyone left (with the exception of 1 judge and a few from our church), she decided to give it a try. She went to the front, told the judge to not look at her, checked 1 more time to make sure she was not looking and said it perfectly. She was so proud of herself.

They also both participated in song leading. Ella led Jesus Loves me and Laney stepped out on a very short limb and led Paradise Valley. Ella went up to the front this time but held a paper in front of her face.  Occasionally,  she would peek to see if anyone was looking at her. 

Each year they let the K-2 participants walk across the stage. Ella was so excited to be able to do it this year. Ella participated in bible reading, song leading, and  know the books.

Laney participated in bible reading, song leading, know the books, Good Samaritan, puppets, bible bowl, and group scrapbook. 

Griffin participated in Good Samaritan, Teach to Teach, Speech, Song Leading Winner's Circle, puppets, bible bowl and group scrapbook. He was one of 6 finalist for the whole 8th grade for speech. He definitely has a talent for speaking. 

I am so proud of all 3 of my children!

 

 

 

We won 1st place in Group Scrapbook. I was so proud of all the ones who worked so hard to put this together.

The microphone on the front cover had a button you could press that said, "Let's get ready to RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!".
